Port Carling Golf Course

Natural, Rugged, Beautiful!

This scenic course will not only leave you breathless at the first hole, but each and every hole after that. With careful design and some major overhauls, this course will challenge you time and time again.
Here is a brief of just some of the changes you can expect to see:

  • Hole #4 has been blasted and completely rebuilt from tee to green.
  • Hole #12 has a new large pond on the left side near the road that will feature a large water fountain.
  • Hole#18 has a new tee deck back in the woods.
  • All 18 greens have been resurfaced with A4-1 Bentgrass.
  • These along with general improvements to each hole will ensure a truly exciting and refreshing season.

Meet Our Course Architect

When you think of innovative course architecture coupled with the traditional style of the game no other name is more prominent then Thomas McBroom. When originally designing and building the course it was important that it was not only beautiful and challenging but that is in keeping with the naturally rugged terrain of the Muskokas, so when it was time for some major course improvements we knew it had to be McBroom once again.

Tom, along with our CGSA Superintendent and his team have had a very busy winter blasting rock, hauling sand and removing deadwood all in preparation for the opening season. With over 20 years experience designing and building some of Canada's finest courses behind it, Port Carling is going to be as beautiful and challenging as ever.
